DalleVigne Wine loft organizes free guided tours, even in the English language, for tourists who are wine enthusiasts or simply curious, who wish to learn about the "secrets" behind the production of white or red wines. The wine tours are organised only with bookings, from Monday to Saturday, at 10:30 and 15:30. The wine tourists are guided through an itinerary that includes the Cantine Leonardo da Vinci, the vineyards and, on request, the "Casale di Valle", the splendid XV century villa owned by the wine cellar, which previously belonged to the Uguccioni family.Groups or individual tourists may admire the "Casale" and the small Church, dedicated to Saints Ippolito and Cassiano, annexed to the villa, which is decorated with a painting attributed to Antonio Mini, a student of Michelangelo’s. Art and history are "merged" with wine, in a tour that starts with the visit to the wine cellar, illustration of the processes involved in the production of wine and also includes the cellar where the barriques are stored and the bottling facilities.
The itinerary continues through the splendid territory of Vinci, offering visitors the possibility to make a leap into the past. The park surrounding the dalleVigne Wine Loft may be visited, with its biological garden, or garden of "ancient tastes", the ancient fruit orchard, with varieties of plants that are extinct or becoming extinct and the "Leonardo Vineyard", realised on the basis of a project designed by the genius of Vinci, who had envisioned a bower-type vineyard. A wine-tasting session is offered at the dalleVigne Wine Loft after the visit, where several products of the Leonardo da Vinci wine cellar may be tasted, as well as other wines conserved in the wine cellar, on request.
The wine-tasting visit includes a Leonardo Chianti, a Leonardo Chianti Reserve and a San Zio IGT, at a cost of 12.00 euros. A Saint Ippolito IGT and a Brunello di Montalcino may also be added, for a total cost of 22.00 euros.
Visitors to the dalleVigne Wine Loft may also make a sort of "trip" to different areas of the world, through the 200 labels of wines present.
